Hormones at Work: For Everyone
with Kate Muir
Key outcome:
Understand how hormonal fluctuations can shape creative peaks, problem-solving abilities, and focus.
Hormones are like human WiFi. They influence neurotransmitters in our brains, and the latest science shows us how they control our health. We learn how, thanks to hormonal changes, women’s brains rewire up to three times in life and how that amazing plasticity can be used positively. You’ll discover the surprising peaks of creativity and accuracy – and the need for downtime.
This session is for men too. Testosterone levels change as men age, and are worth monitoring, particularly in midlife when low levels can cause depression, brain fog and weight gain. There are other surprising facts about how men’s testosterone levels rise and fall, day-to-day, and also how research is beginning to show that drugs like Viagra may be good for heart and brain health too.
You’ll learn how hormonal changes – whether natural or medical – affect the brain, emotional balance, memory, stress management, and creative flow across genders.
This interactive session will help you to:
- Open up a more relaxed and informed conversation
- Learn to recognise your hormonal patterns, and have more understanding of others’ needs.
- Help colleagues navigate these changes
- Discover the latest research and trusted resources
- Be able to reframe hormones as an empowering catalyst for change
