I’m really curious … what did you find most useful about this video and what are you going to do?
Great Video Mark, Perfect timing as having a particularly anxious day. It was really useful to take a moment to reflect on all 3 elements. Remembering to take a deep breath and think about the story I am telling myself. I feel much lighter now and its always good to be reminded of my thriving state!. Thanks
So glad it was timely and useful Colette!
Thank you! Very easy to understand, I’m going to try and implement them!
Best of luck Yasmeen!
Thanks for sharing this Mark. I really appreciated the explanation of the sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous systems. It’s helpful to understand how they oppose each other and how you can consciously switch between: the “look around you” tip is a great one for me to take away.
Thanks Diane, I too find it so useful to think of the sympathetic/parasympathetic as opposing each other and how turning on one … as in rest and digest … turns off the other … fight or flight.
Really helpful ! It’s so hard to turn round those moments when we are hijacked by extreme stress and I found these incredibly useful tools to normalise, break down those moments and take actions
that can help me improve them.
You’re so right, it’s hard when you’re hijacked in the moment to do something, but practicing when you’re not stressed can help make it an automatic habit. Thanks Natasha!
Thanks Mark, as always a great video to remind us of our thrive state. I now need to practice my centred state more often.
Thanks so much Sue!
Another great video Mark! You make it simple and accessible to understand. We all need these easy tips to bring us back to a sense of centre and grounding!
Thanks Mark for another excellent video. I especially liked the part where you stopped to go through the breathing exercise – I feel better already!
It’s astounding to think that you can influence your nervous system just by consciously taking certain steps. I found the part about widening the field of vision when feeling stressed especially useful – definitely something I’ll be using in future! Thanks Mark.
Great video Mark, it’s so important to just remember to breathe when feeling stressed as it can instantly take that panic feeling away. I try to step away from my desk for a moment too when something has stressed me out!
Great video Mark! It’s amazing how ineffective we often breath and the impact this can have! Enjoyed the part about the relaxing effect of broadening our visual focus also!
Now I know why it’s encouraged on many guided meditations!
Looking forward to trying turn these into daily habits
Some really helpful tips, especially the breathing, sometimes in our busy lives we ignore the basics.
Taking a few minutes out of the day to focus is priceless
